The Scent File profile
Rum and saffron hit first — warm, slightly boozy, with a resinous depth from cistus underneath. The heart softens it somewhat: geranium adds a green, almost herbaceous edge while jasmine keeps it from reading as purely masculine. Then the dry-down takes over and that's where this earns its name — guaiac and cedarwood stack a dry, ashy smoke on top of patchouli's earthiness, creating something dense and almost leathery. Projection is moderate but sillage lingers long, leaving a smoky resinous trail. — Cold-weather evenings, best on skin that runs warm.
