A 2024 Basenotes thread repeats the forum account of two changes to the EDT, around 2012 and again in 2020 when the ingredient Lilial was removed. The owners in the thread find little difference between their bottles, and one argues the formula never leaned on that ingredient.

A Basenotes guide sorts Acqua di Giò EDT into four eras. It recommends bottles made before 2015, reports that the 2019 to 2024 bottles were less well liked than earlier ones, and describes the bottles made after 2024 as frosted glass.

Owners compare a 2011 and a 2020 version. On Fragrantica the 2020 bottle is described as slightly brighter, with the same iris character and no loss of performance. On Basenotes an owner of 2022 and 2023 bottles calls it more or less the same as the 2011 and gets a full day's wear, though another poster finds it thin.

A Fragrantica owner who first bought Invictus EDT in 2020 and bought it again in 2025 says it no longer smells the same or lasts as long. A second owner says a 2025 bottle is different but still likes it. A third puts the change at batches from 2024 on and blames a banned lily-of-the-valley ingredient. These are owners' reports only.

A Basenotes guide lists changes around 2010, 2018 and 2022, with the liquid growing paler each time. Fragrantica owners in 2019 called the bottles then on sale weak next to older ones, though others in the thread say it was never a strong performer.

Fragrantica owners describe a softer La Vie Est Belle from around 2020, with the iris toned down and less projection. A 2023 buyer called a new bottle a muted version of an older tester. The dry-down is described as mostly the same, a little weaker.

Basenotes owners date weaker batches to 2019 and 2020. One owner then reports a changed formula in a mid-2021 batch, after the EU ban on Lilial: the ingredient is gone from the label, the non-alcohol content is down from 22% to 18%, and the scent is stronger but more synthetic. Others in the thread still rate their 2020 bottles highly.

A Basenotes guide to the women's EDT dates two changes: from 2012 a more citric scent with less of the bamboo, musk and cedar base, and from 2024 a slightly sweeter scent with a light floral dry-down, in a restyled bottle. Owners who bought in 2024 or later describe the citrus as muted and less bright, and one found it gone within minutes.

Dior relaunched Miss Dior Eau de Parfum in 2021 as a composition by François Demachy. Parfumo lists the 2021 version as a perfume of its own, with peony, iris and lily of the valley over rose, vanilla, musk and sandalwood, and no patchouli among its listed notes. Parfumo now also lists a 2026 Eau de Parfum. One match we list, Oakcha Pure Veil, is sold as inspired by the 2017 Miss Dior, the version before this one.

The licence for Dolce & Gabbana's perfumes moved to Shiseido in 2016 and to Give Back Beauty in 2022, and a Basenotes member explains that each move has meant rebuilding the formulas. In 2025 the EDP was repackaged with a new ingredient list, and the notes listed for the EDT dropped grapefruit and tobacco. One owner found the current EDT almost unrecognisable next to a 2014 bottle; another says it is different but keeps its character.
