Incense Kyoto

Opens with a cold, almost austere church-smoke incense — dry and resinous rather than sweet — before cedar steps in to sharpen the edges. The heart settles into a spare, dusty orris that keeps things powder-adjacent without going soft. Sandalwood and white musk cushion the dry-down, pulling it slightly warmer and skin-close, but projection stays deliberately restrained throughout; this is a quiet fragrance that demands proximity. Sillage is a thin, clean trail of smoke and pale wood — meditative, unshowy. — Built for overcast days, cold-weather minimalism, and anyone who wants to smell like a temple rather than a department store.

2 Man

Sharp grapefruit and juniper open with real bite — citrus-forward but with a resinous, almost medicinal edge that keeps it from reading as mere cologne. The heart pulls toward dry cedar, grounding the brightness without smothering it. Projection is moderate; this wears close rather than announcing itself across a room. The dry-down is where it earns its keep: vetiver adds an earthy smokiness, amber softens the whole thing, and white musk anchors a clean but genuinely interesting finish — A warm-weather daily wear for someone who wants freshness with some actual character.

Black

Opens with a cold, industrial jolt — rubber and ink sitting on top of sharp aldehydic brightness, more laboratory than garden. The heart settles into something more wearable as cedar and sandalwood push through, softening the chemical edge without erasing it. Dry-down is quiet and close-wearing, a warm musky woodsmoke that stays near the skin with modest sillage. Projection is restrained throughout; this rewards proximity rather than announcing itself across a room — A fall and winter fragrance for someone who finds conventional sophistication boring.

Garage

Cold concrete and petroleum hit immediately in the opening — sharp, industrial, and deliberately uncomfortable. The aldehydes amplify the synthetic edge, making the gasoline note smell genuinely mechanical rather than abstract. As it settles, rubber fades and cedar pushes through, grounding the weirdness in something woody and recognizable. The dry-down is where vetiver and musk take over, pulling it toward a cool, smoky earthiness that wears close to skin with modest sillage. Polarizing by design, never sweet, never safe — best worn in cooler months by someone who wants to smell like a place rather than a person.

Floriental

Rose and iris open cool and slightly powdery, neither sweet nor sharp, with the iris pulling things toward a dry, almost waxy quality. The heart warms quickly as benzoin and amber push through, giving the floral a resinous depth that reads more meditative than romantic. Incense keeps it slightly smoky without going full church-mode. The dry-down is soft sandalwood and musk — intimate, skin-close, with modest sillage that stays polite rather than projecting. — Cold-weather evenings for someone who finds standard florientals too sweet or too obvious.

Wonderwood

Opens dry and almost austere — raw cedar stripped of sweetness, edged with the smoky bitterness of guaiac wood and a faint juniper sharpness that reads more resinous than fruity. The heart settles into a dense, tightly woven core: sandalwood and cashmere wood add just enough creaminess to keep it from feeling clinical, while vetiver anchors the whole thing with an earthy, slightly metallic undercurrent. Projection is moderate and close to the skin; the dry-down is long, quiet, and genuinely woody without tipping into cologne territory — built for cold weather and people who want wood that smells like wood, not a department store floor.
