Pale and powdery from the first spray, the aldehydes lift the iris into something almost soapy — clean in that old-school, freshly-pressed-linen way rather than synthetic-clean. The heart is almost entirely iris: cool, rooty, slightly chalky, with the musk sitting so close underneath it's less a base than a skin-warmth suggestion. Projection stays intimate from the start; this doesn't announce itself across a room. The dry-down softens further into a barely-there musky iris that reads as a second-skin effect. — Quiet office days, early spring, for anyone who wants to smell expensive without being noticed.
